theredstreak asked: Shhh... don't mind the Americans infiltrating your blog. It's some patriotic business.
Anonymous asked: HAVE YOU SEEN INCEPTION YET.
And to respond to Jess, yes, those bloody yanks. Taking over the world, again. Wait til we stop shipping coal. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Uh oh. Here we go. This blog has officially been infiltrated. And I was having so much fun telling my fellow Australians how Americans are really gun-toting rednecks.
I kid. Welcome Thomas and Jeanette. I am hereby making you honorary Australians. Now come play touch with me.
In random news today, my circa-50-yr-old fluid mechanics lecturer has picked up on the slang use of the verb “to...

I don’t know, Do you?
Maybe… By the way, the waterkey on my mello broke yesterday. It failed a brittle failure.

Random thoughts:
my roomie NEVER follows through on her promises. So far she has promised to run with me, do pushups with me, STUDY and I don’t know what else.
Kristen always seems to arrive at lessons with her hair down and somehow it’s magically tied up by the end of the lesson.
Yes I am studying, my thoughts are random. I call it entropy.
Not so random thought: I dislike...
I had a chat with Zac from SWO yesterday and it made me remember a couple of things.
When I was in year 11 and collected my refereeing cheque for touch at Artarmon, Kim handed me two envelopes. She said, “Tony told me to give this to you.” It was Mr B’s ref’s cheque to the value of just under $100. I didn’t know what to think. For a moment, I thought I was meant to...
First up, thanks Lex! It seems such an airy-fairy sort of thing for a dream to come true, but it means the world. I’ll see you all again in not too long :) I’m totally missing the metric system too *sigh*.
Ok, to describe the video now. I was on the flight from John Wayne Airport to San Jose International, listening to my audition pieces on my Ipod. This is pretty much what I saw and...
Reflecting on the audition
My music audition occurred the night I arrived at the SCV camp. I registered as soon as I arrived, jumped into the breathing block which had started 30 minutes earlier. We finished up after a further 15 minutes and were starting brass warmup, when the mello next to me left to start warming up for his audition. The order for auditions was just the lineup going down the horn arc, so I was going to...
REALLY BIG NEWS
I am in the Santa Clara Vanguard A corps. World Class.
Yes, I will be wearing an aussie this season.
Yes, I will be marching with a corps named after my sister.
Yes, I am marching with one of the two corps that really inspired me to scrounge around for jobs, work, ref, save up, study to get university references, get myself across the Pacific Ocean, learn to march, practise, practise,...
It’s been a while since I blogged.
Here’s what’s up.
School resumed two weeks ago. Today, I am on a 5pm flight from John Wayne airport (Santa Ana) to San Jose International for the SCV audition camp.
I am a late-comer, official auditions happened a month ago. However, they’ve since held mini-auditions in Texas and they’re letting pre-arranged auditions happen at...
defence forces
Isn’t it funny how Australia calls it “defence”, but America will call it the army, the marines, the airforce?
I’m writing this down so it will stay out of my head. This thought has been on repeat for half an hour or so as I’ve been practising.
It troubles me that I see so many people who revere the armed forces. As heroes. People so protect the country, do good...
